[Dtistudio-users] skull rim

Hi,

I am a new user to DTI studio and have a very basic question:

When I make a ADC or FA map by DTI studio the map is surrounded by a rim,
which I think represents fat underneath the skull.
This rim is not present in the ADC and FA maps that are directly
reconstructed by the scanner (philips). Does this mean that the scanner
uses a B0-mask for the maps and DTI-studio doesn't? Is there a way to use
a mask in DTI studio? This rim is very unpleasant in registration to the
anatomic scans.

Thank you in advance,

Suzanne Koudijs
